Navigating Wedding Day Crises: A Wedding Planner’s Guide
As Wedding Planners, We've seen it all - from small hiccups to seemingly major disasters. But there's one thing We've learned: you must make things work. We are firm believers in projecting positive energy, even in times of stress. It's crucial to first assess how big the problem is before making any drastic decisions on how to solve it. Sometimes, because you are stressed out on your Wedding Day, small issues might seem like a disaster.
In this blog, we’ll explore the critical aspects of crisis management, offering insights and advices to navigate unexpected issues on your special day.
Assign a Point of Contact: Designate a reliable person as the point of contact for vendors, this can be your Wedding Planner or even a relative. They can handle communication and troubleshoot issues, allowing you to remain focused on savoring the moment.
Follow Provider’s Guidance: Adhere to the guidance provided by your vendor and Wedding Planner, they have the knowledge and contacts to make the right decisions.
When Vendors Don't Deliver as Expected: Your flowers are the wrong color, the silverware doesn’t match, or the welcome sign has your name spelled wrong. If something isn't right, ask yourself: does it matter? Is it something that isn’t perfect but you can work, or does it need to be fixed? If it needs to be fixed, see if the vendor that brought it has a solution, or you can eliminate it all together.
Weather Conditions: We can’t control the weather, and even when you have triple-checked the weather forecast, being prepared is the solution. Make sure to have a contingency plan, especially if you are having an outdoor ceremony or uncovered outdoor reception.
In the end, remember that your wedding is a celebration of love, and minor hitches should not take away from the joy of your special day.
